Programme: The Denouement .Part I. The Story So Far - because you want to know what has happened! This next section is a
synthesis of the major plot lines of M is for Nottingham?.
When we gathered to compile our evidence, we found that we had 22
characters – and that they had written over 350 pages of mystery story
– a kind of game, fantasy, history-mystery.
Enough material for a Book in itself!
Also, since this story was entirely written through the threading
of posts on the Message Board, it had all the qualities of a hypertext –
linked lexias, multilinear plots, simultaneity, and multiple voices in
time and space. Any summary of the events must necessarily omit sheaves of
wonderful and relevant actions and ruminations by our writer/characters.
The Web site will be up for a time so that you will have a chance
to read it all – sort through the clues with your own magnifying glass.
Also, a live drama requires
that we move back into a linear mode – but perhaps you will detect the
presence of the recursive, labyrinthine quality of the developing story!
