Luesebrink, M.F.A., Professor grading policies and information Literature 45 -- Women in Literature Online Course Your grade in Women in Literature will be based on written work and on the quality of class participation. 1. Formal Written Papers The written assignments for the class will count for 80% of your grade. Two Formal Written Assignments will be required of those seeking a grade. If you wish to take the class Credit/No Credit, you need only do the Weekly Assignments and Research Project. See about these below: A. Research Project. (65% of grade) B. Take-home, written Final Exam. (15% of grade)
2. Weekly Posting - Class Participation (20% of your Grade)The class participation evaluation for the class will count for 20% of your grade. This includes participation in the discussion group at least once a week to discuss the texts and post your weekly exercises. You can participate in the class dicussion in several ways:Join actively in the DiscussionList. You must post at least once a week. Submit your weekly exercises in timely fashion - either to the Discussion List (best) or to me. Ask questions of the instructor and other students. (NOTE: you must post once a week on time on the Discussion List to pass the class. Also, you need to read all the posts from the students for the week. The Discussion list is our class session. I will often convey important information to students in answer to their posts.) |
